Healing Techniques

The most effective methods of healing I've found are not what I thought they would be. I think we have a perception of healing within our culture that healing has to be difficult, that it involves a lot of talking about what happened to us, and that it takes a long time. I've found none of these to be true. What works is different for everyone but I've rated the healing techniques I use by what I've found to be most effective for the average person.

What Works

I've dedicated my life to finding what works to help people heal and the methods I've found that actually work all deal directly with the subconscious. The subconscious doesn't operate like the conscious mind does at all, which makes all of these techniques counterintuitive to most people or even a little bizarre, but they work, and they work incredibly well. I have a lot of clients that see me comment that the techniques I use feel like magic because of how fast and effective they are. Most clients are able to see real, concrete changes in their lives in a very short period of time. And the best part about it? You never need to consciously change anything. Your emotions, thoughts, and behaviors will change so naturally and organically that you never need to put forth concerted effort to change them, besides healing your subconscious. Once the subconscious is healed, everything else falls into place.

Healing is often difficult at first, whether that be that it's emotionally taxing or that the healing process taking multiple sessions, but as the process continues it gets much easier. What I've found is that the more you heal the subconscious, the easier it gets on an emotional level and the faster it gets on a time commitment level. Like building expertise in anything, the beginning is always the hardest.

All of the techniques I use are all very simple and easy to do. In my opinion, true understanding of a principle necessitates simplicity, something which I've strived to embody in my healing practices. Most of these techniques stem from other ideas which I have then simplified to their bare essentials and tweaked to make them my own. Their simplicity makes them easy to teach which is important because, to be frank, no one can heal you but you. I will teach you how to heal yourself, but you've got to do the work. My goal is to get you comfortable and practicing as soon as possible so that by the time you finish seeing me, you feel confident in your ability to heal yourself for the rest of your life.

Common Challenges

The main challenges that my clients typically face is keeping an open mind and being okay with the shift in paradigm of what healing looks like in their mind. These techniques are different and can feel like they are too simple or too weird to work, but if healing yourself is your goal, I recommend cultivating an open mind.

Another challenge that my clients experience is not getting validation. I purposefully limit the amount of validation I give my clients because I want them to learn how to validate themselves. No amount of validation from another human being will heal you and needing it keeps you dependent on others in order to be okay. Talk therapy is primarily built on the principle of empathy, and as I've shown on my home page, it has limited usefulness. If you want to be the healthiest version of yourself, you have to be able to validate yourself. True healing is self-validated; your own validation has to be enough. I've had some clients struggle because of this disparity between their expectations and reality so if you find yourself in this camp I recommend asking yourself, "Do I want validation or do I want to heal?"
